Informed Dose (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website informeddose.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit the site, why we collect it, and what choices you have.
Who we are
Informed Dose is an independent editorial site that publishes research summaries and reviews of dietary supplements. We are based in North Carolina, United States. You can reach us at hello@informeddose.com.

Information you give us
If you email us or submit a form on this site, we receive whatever you choose to send — typically your name, email address, and the content of your message. We use it only to respond to you.
If you subscribe to updates, we store your email address for that purpose until you unsubscribe.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we collect limited technical information automatically when you visit:
- IP address (which our analytics provider truncates before storing)
- Browser type, operating system, and device type
- Pages you viewed, how long you spent on them, and the page that referred you
- Approximate location, derived from IP address at the city or region level
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which articles people read and how they find the site. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and processes the data described above on our behalf. We do not use Google Analytics to build advertising audiences, and we do not enable Google Signals or advertising features.
You can opt out of Google Analytics entirely by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies will not prevent you from reading anything on this site.
Our hosting provider may also set strictly necessary cookies required for security and site performance. These cannot be disabled without breaking the site.
We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where your browser sends them.
Affiliate links
Many pages on this site contain affiliate links. When you click one, the merchant or its affiliate network (for example Digistore24 or ClickBank) may set a cookie that records that you arrived from Informed Dose, so that we are credited if you later make a purchase.
We do not receive your name, address, payment details, or any other personal information from these transactions — only aggregate reports of how many sales originated from our links. Those merchants operate under their own privacy policies, which we do not control. See our Affiliate Disclosure for how this relationship works.
How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- Respond to messages you send us
- Understand which content is useful and decide what to publish next
- Diagnose technical problems and protect the site from abuse
- Measure whether our affiliate links are working
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Who we share information with
We share limited information with service providers who help us run the site:
- Hostinger — web hosting and email
- Google — analytics
- Affiliate networks — click attribution, as described above
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
How long we keep it
Analytics data is retained for 14 months and then deleted automatically. Emails you send us are kept as long as needed to handle your request, and then deleted. Subscription records are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or opt out of its sale or sharing (we do not sell or share it). Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have these rights under those laws; residents of the EEA and UK have equivalent rights under the GDPR.
To make a request, email hello@informeddose.com. We will respond within the time frame your law requires, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, email us and we will delete it.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and we take reasonable measures to protect the limited information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
